Usi Leaves For Spain

Vice President Dr. Michael Biswick Usi has departed for Seville, Spain, where he is scheduled to represent President Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera and Malawi as a whole during the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4), from 30th June to 3rd July 2025.
The Vice President was seen off at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) on Saturday, 28th June.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this year’s conference will be convened under the theme “Financing Our Future.”
Among other things, the conference is expected to address newly emerging issues and the urgent need to fully implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), support reforms of the international financial architecture, and further assess progress made in the implementation of the Monterrey Consensus, the Doha Declaration, and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda.
